Mission
We create leadership opportunities for communicators who want to use their skills for positive social impact. Our goal is to educate graduate level students through a curriculum designed to strengthen the social sector, promote corporate social responsibility, and build innovative cross sector partnerships. We share our knowledge with the field as part of our commitment to advance the practice of social impact communications.
Our Vision
Our vision is to elevate the discipline of communications by promoting responsible communications practices and inspiring communication leaders to use their talents for positive social impact.
Since its founding in 1789, Georgetown University has emphasized the development of the whole person through its commitment to justice and the common good and by encouraging intellectual openness throughout its diverse student body. Building on those values, the Georgetown Center for Social Impact Communication aims to educate and train students who will lead communication initiatives for nonprofits, corporations and governments and also understand the importance of communications as an agent for positive change.
