DESCRIPTION

The Global Good Fund receives over 2,000 applications a year for our flagship 12-person Fellowship. We have launched sector-specific Fellowships, built on the Global Good Fund’s proprietary curriculum, that support more social entrepreneurs each year. The Business Development Manager will support the creation of these Fellowships.

Job Description:
The Global Good Fund is looking for a driven, resourceful individual to take on the role of Business Development Manager. The Manager will report directly to the Director of Business Development and will be responsible for business generation, client management and administrative-related tasks.

Job Responsibilities:
Sourcing
Build on The Global Good Fund’s pipeline for business generation through research and partnership cultivation
Identify top prospects within the pipeline and a plan for each prospect
Manage the pipeline on a weekly basis, updating and distributing assignments

Partnership Cultivation:
Attend engagements on behalf of The Global Good Fund, including meetings with potential donors, Executive Mentors and Fellows
Execute effectively, providing recommendations regarding next steps and appropriate communication
Create content, such as tailored business development proposals
Work with CEO and Director of Business Development to iterate cultivation process and implement improved processes as The Global Good Fund scales

Client Management:
Establish strong rapport with assigned partners and donors
Manage communication with assigned partners and donors
Coordinate quarterly meetings and provide tailored content for each engagement
Work with CEO and Director of Business Development to iterate client management structure and implement improved processes as The Global Good Fund scales

Qualifications & Requirements:
Undergraduate degree required
2+ years of work experience required
Lives in or willing to relocate to the D.C. area
Communicative and affable, willing to attend conferences, networking events and speaking engagements in the D.C. area on behalf of The Global Good Fund
Willing to travel at least 30% of time
Process-oriented, comfortable working on a small team and open to testing new ideas within the role
Open minded and globally oriented; enthusiastic about social entrepreneurship

LEVEL OF LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY: English

PROFESSIONAL LEVEL: Professional

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: 4-year degree
