Job Objective

The position works closely with the Creative Manager to publish and syndicate content on schedule, and understands how to measure and communicate its impact.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Write and edit written material for marketing and other communications initiatives like press releases
  • Assist Digital Manager to boost the popularity of and increase online user engagement of UWNCA’s online channels.
  • Make updates to unitedwaynca.org and other digital channels using CMS and social media publishing tools
  • Help maintain editorial style guides and editorial calendars
  • Assist with content marketing strategy and best practices
  • Work to increase public, partner and stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent written/verbal and presentation skills
  • Strong initiative, self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to work during nontraditional hours such as evenings or weekends.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Understanding of social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Blog, digital advertising, among others
  • Knowledge of content management systems and email platforms. Experience with Expression Engine and BSD tools helpful
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent written/verbal and presentation skills
  • Strong initiative, self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to work during nontraditional hours such as evenings or weekends
