The Hatcher Group is seeking a Print and Web Design Associate with one to three years of experience to support a variety of clients and initiatives for nonprofit organizations working on progressive issues, including education reform, poverty and the environment, among others. This position would be in our Bethesda, Md., office.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, relevant design work experience, be highly organized, able to multitask, as well as work well under pressure. The candidate should be able to work well independently but also in a team. Proficiency with InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop is required, as is knowledge of WordPress and Microsoft Office. The candidate should also have experience creating, designing and maintaining websites.
Additional skill sets that would be a bonus include knowledge of video production, experience with major social media platforms and a knowledge of the printing process. Bottom line: We’re looking for a great designer who is interested in progressive issues and who is great to work with!
The Print and Web Design Associate will work on a wide variety of projects, which may include:
- Print design of brochures, flyers, reports
- Website redesign, creation and maintenance
- Creation of ecards using Constant Contact
- Design of compelling infographics and social media graphics
- PowerPoint design
